Being young, single, and freshly 16 is not a good combination if you suddenly find yourself fantasizing about that one handsome celebrity you saw online. Your hormones hit the ground running, and you just can’t stop thinking about what it would be like to have the extremely rare chance of going on a date with your otherworldly celebrity crush. While many dream of cozy cafés, romantic dinners and secret rendez-vous, other teenagers, like Mia, prefer to imagine themselves dancing the night away with their charming crush (given that they can dance, but it’s your imagination, after all). That ecstatic explosion of raw emotion that bursts at the height of the night is what Mia Rose Brake’s first single “Somersault” seeks to emulate. Written by a teenage Mia, the song encapsulates that contagious, youthful energy that is reinvoked with every listen, no matter whether you’re old or young. With its swingy groove, Queen-inspired harmonies and dynamically expressive vocal delivery, “Somersault” challenges its listeners to sit still, as it might just prove to be impossible.

So about Mia...

Mia isn't here to entertain - she's here to expose. Known for her powerful (and very loud) voice and for her lively stage presence, Mia's true passion lies in writing explosive, yet thought-provoking songs, seeking to touch the faintest, yet craziest of hearts. Her music fuses live sounding pop-rock with a few sprinkles of punk, some scoops of poetic, yet bold (and in some cases playful) lyrics, and a whole lot of tunes that will either leave you laughing, crying, or both at the same time. Influences of P!nk, Queen and Amy Winehouse are discernible in most of her tracks. With her music, Mia's mission is to reach those who are too afraid to be themselves, or more specifically... who are too afraid to be loud. Like who cares if you go nuts?
Mia’s first single “Somersault” is coming out on the 28th of January 2026 and will be the first song of her upcoming debut EP titled "In your head". The single will be followed by two further singles within the course of a few months, with the last song being released as part of the complete four-song EP. "In your head" captures the tricks and bits one's mind can play on oneself. With this emotional rollercoaster, Mia invites you not to watch her...
... but to feel her.
