While many dream of cozy cafés, romantic dinners and secret rendez-vous, other teenagers prefer to imagine themselves dancing the night away with their charming crush. That ecstatic explosion of raw emotion that bursts at the height of the night is what Mia Rose Brake’s first single “Somersault” seeks to emulate. Written by a teenage Mia about her celebrity crush, the song encapsulates that contagious, youthful energy that is reinvoked with every listen, no matter whether you’re old or young. With its swingy groove, Queen-inspired harmonies and dynamically expressive vocal delivery, “Somersault” challenges its listeners to sit still, as it might just prove to be impossible.

So about Mia...
Poetic pop-rock from Zurich
Mia Rose Brake is a British-Swiss pop-rock artist from Zurich, Switzerland. Known for her powerful (and very loud) voice and for her lively stage presence, Mia's true passion lies in writing explosive, yet thought-provoking songs. Her music fuses pop-rock with poetic, yet bold (and in some cases playful) lyrics. With her music, Mia's mission is to reach those who are too afraid to be themselves, or more specifically... who are too afraid to be loud. Like who cares if you're too loud for the world? Certainly not for Mia!
Despite stemming from her first EP, Mia's music has already been played on radio in Switzerland (SRF 1, Radio Rocher, Radio Nord Vaudois, Radio RaBe, Redline Radio, Radio LoRa) and across the globe (ranging from Europe to Japan). Furthermore, "Somersault" made its live debut at the Powerplay Studios in Maur back in October 2025. More gigs are currently in planning.

“Somersault” is the first single of Mia's upcoming EP "In Your Head". The EP is about the impact of an overblown imagination on a fragile teenage mind. It follows a teenager who reaches her breaking point as she struggles to accept herself. Her imagination plays a big role in distorting the image she has created of herself. All four songs of the EP serve as snapshots into that process of spiralling and eventual growth.
The EP is set to release in 2027, with three of its songs being released prior as singles in 2026.
